Budapest - day two
May. 24th, 2005 10:18 amkeyboard in hungarian, excuse typos involving zyx they are in different places.
we did the palace district
St Matthiaus cathedral, small and extentsivelz painted in the 1920's i think
morning tes at the hilton, as discount with out card, no great shakes
Labrynth, with no historicla information, and some ones attempt at kitsch new age
though there was one funny section about homo consumus, how they found fossiled evidence of footprint (compelte with nike swoosh) etc, amusing but unhelpful. A squandered tourist reseource I felt, though if you went in expecting it probably quite fun, espically if like use you happened to have a torch for shining in dark corners.
Craft market, bought two necklanes and then asked how much I had just spent and didn't reallz need to know.
Palace, in search of museum, found it, it wasn't in our guide book, unfortunatelz as was open on a mondaz(everthing else is closed) and quite good.
went back to hotel and then out for dinner, at a restraunt called feckette ollo, meaning black raven
was nice, pricz. Prices here don't seem much different from uk really. but then we were in the tourist district.
