Knitting and Blogging

Some family buisness down south had to be attended to.

On my previous post there was a comment it was anon, so i'm really hoping its someone I know.

There are occasionally storms in the blogsphere, one at the moment actually. Someone said something, emails are exchanged, years later New York times article reports it , and we all roll our eyes. Now the thing of it is, i'm quite glad she's stopped doing review's as whilst accurate, they are rather angry. If you want accurate and more gentle try the knitting needle and the damage done, tends to be more about the designs in the editorial sense, rather than berating individual designers.

I'm writing this blog and hope to continue, so would be good to avoid that kind of back and forth.

Local to Edinburgh, she suffered a stroke and had to give up her academic career, and now writes, knits and designs, with the same rigour as her academic career. I’m a massive fan.

Just like you and me, though somehow manages to knit far faster than me, teach, write books, raise two teenagers, and write very good blog enteries about being human throughout it all.

Not a blog, but a tumblir account (I was unaware I actually followed one!) beautiful gorgeous photos. Not often, which is good, much like rich food, some occasionally lets you appreciate it. She makes yarn to, popular with the indy designers, give how often it turns up.

True Brit Knits
They get points for regular posting, and creating the knitters badge, which I really should buy.

Woolythyme
A new favourite, and is currently just feeding me more things I want to knit and don’t have wool for
