To do – finishing
Blanket
Kenzo - knitted from the gray possum, which cable beautifully. This piece knits up in an interesting way. In one piece up to the shoulder, and just the back, splitting at the neck and down the front. Having knitted most of this large piece, its to small!.
I will block it before making my mind up, but this involves finishing it first.
Then I have a choice, bodge it, or undo it and start again (this is will be a grit your teeth and think of England moment)
Fugly Fairisle
Need to do another sleeve, and take it to Shetland with me, for the steeking class. I would like to wear this as a jacket, and seem to have found a source of windproof polar fleece to line it. Also I need to put in a zip. This is not something I’ll be finishing soon I suspect.
Sea Tangles
I‘m not knitting this in the recommended yarn by habu, which has a stainless steel core and keeps it shape. I’m using a lace weight yarn, with random cables it gives an interesting texture. But it takes forever to get somewhere with. Thus far I have a sleeve and half a back (or a front). Again this will take an age. And in fact has done, I think this has been on the go for at least 2 or 3 years!
However, at some point I will use random cabling on a heavier weight yarn, its an interesting texture, not a pattern like controlled cables.
Scarves – end to weave in and blocked on my 2 woven scarves and one I owe someone from last xmas.
Headband – That matches the scarf I finished last xmas.
Fuzzy feet socks for Gamer, to replace the ones I made him years and years ago which have woren through. I have some wool designed to be felted, and i'm not sure I trust how much it shrinks by, these things look enormous!
