sunday evening
Jun. 27th, 2005 12:08 amso how did I spend my sunday evening
well I went out for dinner in Stockbridge at bells dinner, which do very nice burgers and steaks thank you very much
and walked back along ann street, one of the more picturesque and expensive streets in edinburgh (read snobby). There was a skip with some hard word kitchen bench bits in it. one of which was large enough to walk away with. So I did, it will make a couple of very nice chopping boards.
On the rest of the way home, mum pointed out that one of the other bits would make a nice coffee table. so i went home with my unprocessed chopping board and me and gamer at 11:15 went down ann street on the bike to check the other piece out and decided it will do nicely. Got car (which i'd parked somewhere else and had to go find) from old flat. Drove back to ann street and picked up at 11:30 the piece of wood, when a land rover parked at the end. Gamer grumbled about going round the block, but I nixed that and after pissing about having to put the back seat down, we got it in. And the guy with the land rover probably got my license plate number.
so thats how I spent my sunday evening, skulking about snobby neighbourhoods around midnight, stealing bits of leftover kitchen bench, well everyone has to have a hobby!!!!
