Lj resolution - that I will descripe what I did with my day in bullet points, so eveyone actually knows what i'm doing and isn't just listening to me whine.

I am hoping that apple as going to launch their new ibook on the 26th, as they don't preannounce like a normal company we have to rely on rumour, and the guts of small animals are apparently spilling in promising ways (could someone remind me waht that activity is called please). Which does raise the interesting question of what to call it, my powerbook 100 was william reginald tucker the third, so my new new will also be tucker. I'm thinking periwinkle for the first name (small white shiny) and something relating to yellow for the second, or maybe just ducatti (as its that shade of yellow it will eventually be going). but thats to chav. Suggestions please...

and in local news North Bridge, the major throughfare of central Edinburgh (its not a city laid for north/south) has been closed since 7:30am yesterday because of a man threatening to jump. would there come a point where it would be in every ones best interests (ie before he starts hallcuinating) where a plastic bullet to the upper torso to push him back and a twenty stone copper to sit on his chest is the best option. It's a sunday, so it's not to bad, come monday and one man is going to slow down an entire city.

My powerbook 100 was the machine that Glenn Anderson wrote the apple version of POP on. Or whatever its was, it was the first Post office to be written for apple rather than just stationary (ie email). If anyone other than miche was geeky enough to know or care that I did once (actually twice) go out with a geek demigod. Miche will probably also mention that it wasn't good thing for my life, i dislike coming a poor third, high spec computer, sports car, just sexy enough girlfriend.

I have new lj friends, I have new friends from having read lj
I have a busy life, I worry I won't have time for new friends
but I shall make time, even though I won't drink as much as they do.

I am 30 and the last few days have bought home just what a long term view this gives me
things which I would absolutely have to act on when i was 24 are now things I know will pass
I dunno maybe its hormones having calmed down.
also I'm more comfortable with knowing how I work in a social dynamic
and having jumped around a lot means I have a whole skill set in dealing with groups I don't know.

I have new lj friends, this is kind a of wierd thing, I'm used to only people in nz reading this
now people I see on a semi regular basis will see this, info control worries, but comfort levels will adjust
So a word to those reading, I mainly use this a mental dumping ground
always write more when angst and depressed
and I very infrequently do meme's

got up, ate cold pizza went to beltane office to pick torchs
saw fuel gauage, went to petrol station then beltane
picked up torches and Steve (not in that sense, thank you)
Went for full walk through, comtemplated the addition of darkenss and crowds
picked up nails, went to drop off torchs, office closed
went to pub, discussed dropping torchs by tomorrow, but they found out i'd had my birthday
so tomorrow won't be chores, or dropping off torchs
but making torch balls, burning them and drinks
frankly I consider myself liberated from sunday papers and scifi
have no intention of going back to it either.

futureweekends
next weekend - free theatre, beltane, monty python double bill
weekend after - Pauls birthday (pirates and nijias)
weekend after that - Ben and Katies play
Weekend after that - movie night (Flash ahaha!, saviour of the universe and split second with rutger hauer),
the interesting question now is mixing my social groups, something that makes me v. v. paraniod

EDIT actually there is not going to be a video weekend that weekend, as we shall be in Budapest, which means i'll have to hand in a 4,000 essay by then as well.
the two weekends after that gamer is un france with the RBS motorbike club and I shall hogging the whole bed by myself, hurrah
