Aug. 31st, 2005 11:13 pmvisted stu, heather and babe ruth
who was two today, and received a yuppie present from us
well it was a top from Zara.
Alan got into there favoured books by fiddling with computer and downloading dos games for them
he then found he can this on the mac, so i have lost to the byteyard (its a junkyard for programmes) again
I borrowed more books
the pile in total is
neuromancer, william gibson (although i constantly refer to it as necromancer)
snow crash, neal stephenson
the feud that sparked the renaissance, paul robert walker
the amazing adventures of Kavalier and Clay, Michael Chabon (okay already read that one, but its a wonderfully written book about comics)
Earthly joys and Virign earth by Phillipa gregory
Memoirs of gnostic dwarf, david madsen
Mrs Hartley and the Growth Centre, also by phillipa
The Medieval papacy, geoffry barraclough
tell me again why I have a social life i have reading to do
though there is a disticnt lack of fantasy in this pile
does anyone not named stu have a bookcase i can raid
after I've read the Stross book
and the one called Cities, which I thought was a text book, till I realised the authors included china melville and Michael moorcock
oh and I just found Before and after, matthew thomas, i started it and it feel down a crack and has now emeraged to be finished
but i only borrowed it for the sheep on the cover and its not grabbed me enough to notice it was MIA or even MIR
off to bed to dream of dying under falling books.
