Feb. 27th, 2005 02:43 pmwe have a car park building, it has no security and and a stairwell (which the local kids hang about in cause its enclosed). There have also been several cars tampered with if not broken into (on one of whom I believe was our next door neighbour, which is what prompted her to join the residents comitte). I tried my car on friday and sometime between then and now someone scratched it. Which is very annoying, but not at all surprising, gamer keeps a close eye on the bike and I was just glad on friday that no one had broken the windows. Gamers previous suggestion was to suggest to the residents committe that they install locks on the doors, which he is going to do at somepoint (I had asked our next neighbours partner, but he said she resigned from the comitte cause the security issuses on the parking building had been dragging on for ages and no could raise much enthusiam to get £30k for the full security works). Gamer is taking it much harder than me, its home territory and property damage to him. I'm annoyed and a bit upset, but it isn't my front door, i'd been expecting it to happen in some form since we realised the kids were there and i'd been expecting to damage the thing more spectualrly before they got there hands on it anyway. And I am not going to let one chav with a key get me riled up enough to degrade my quailty of life by joing the residents comitte in an effort to get something done. Its life, it happens, bitch mightly if nothing better can be done and move on. Gamer is off to storm the residents comittie so I'm going to be stressed by proxy anyway. And if it sounds like i'm not being supportive, well i'm not a 100% behind the idea but he feels the urge so I should at least sound like I'm not trying to stop him.
