Mar. 1st, 2004 09:32 amwent to work for 8 this morning and at top of easter road remembered that today is a 10-6 shift so turned roudn and went home, lay on the bed and listened to the radio for half an hour got up walked to the internet cafe which is just round the corner from work and read friends page and KAOS mailing list.
things seem to be much them same, give or take the freq of drowning hails enteries. But then thats what lj's are for I suppose, I know I only tend to write stuff when I'm sad, lost or blue. Though have been good with this lj I think and try to put in stuff that happens and not just feelings (you might want to dissuade me that notion!!)
Other stuff, caught up with my friend kerry this weekend, he got all loved up over the last year as well. She lives down in wales but will be moving up in July. Will be taking gamer to meet her at somepoint as kerry wants her to meet a few people before she moves permenantly, rather than meeting us all enmasse when its to late. Something I'm trying to do for gamer as well. My social life over here is very different, no long lunch hours to hold it in so it tends to be seeing people every couple of months or so rather than every day.
Gamer arrives on friday, I'll repeat that ON FRIDAY. is very wierd have been used to counting week and now suddenly it's single digit days. Everybody says (expect for those at work who just don't care, but then saying I wouldn't want to work there for longer than the 3 month temp period probably didn't help) that must be really exiciting for you and I bet your looking forward to that. Which is true, I just wish these sacchrine statements gave me a chance to say, I am also extremly nervous about it and more than a little frightened about how it'll all turn out. We both want a future from this relationship, but we've both agreed that doesn't mean overlooking how much we actually like the other person. It's all a fine thing in my head, but now I have to deal with the reality of actually having someone snoring in the bed next to me. This is a different kettle of fish. But so far he seems to be capable, bright, friendly and polite. I can take him home to meet the parents which is more than can be said for the last long term boyfriend I had in Edinburgh.
